Bradley electric smokers work with compressed wood pellets to slow cook pieces of meat, chicken or fish. Smoking of food might contain grease and fat drippings as well as ash from the burned wood pellets. Clean the Bradley smoker before every use, so the residue from the previous cooking session does not destroy the flavours of your current meal. Use the following method to clean a Bradley smoker. 🙂
Quick Method to clean a Bradley Smoker
Cleaning the smoker can be a tiring and time-consuming task, but it is not that much difficult. Follow these steps, and you will have a clean, shiny Bradley smoker to cook delicious, juicy meat.
Cleaning the Racks
To prevent cross-contamination every removable part of your Bradley smoker needs to get cleaned after every use. The racks and trays can be cleaned by putting them into a dishwasher or first brush them to wipe off the residual and then soak them overnight in warm water and then clean them with a dry cloth or towel. If your racks are non-sticks, then do not use any abrasive material to clean them because it will ruin their non-stick properties.
The Door Seal Cleaning
After smoking a meal, remember to wipe off the door seal with a damp cloth or towel. Doing this is essential as it will keep the smoke and heat inside the smoker; otherwise, you will face heat leakage that ends up with having an uncooked meal. For cleaning this use damp cloth or towel and warm soapy mixture. This will help in cleaning the door seal quickly.
Clean the Exterior of the Cabinet
For cleaning the exterior of the Bradley smoker, it is better to use the multipurpose cleaner to remove general dust and grime. However, please do not use any cleaning chemicals on or near the door seal because it will lose the seal. It is recommended to clean them with warm soapy water or with a mixture of warm water and apple cider vinegar. Spray any of the mixtures on the exterior of the cabinet and wait for a while after that clean the exterior with a cloth or newspaper. It is recommended to use newspaper if you do not want streaks on the exterior of your Bradley smoker.
Cleaning interior of Bradley Smoker
Cleaning the interior of the Bradley smoker contains same method all you need to do is to remove all the removable trays and racks and then use a soft brush to clean out the debris and residuals and then spray a warm soapy water insider the smoker and wait for a while. After this, use a towel or clean, dry cloth to wipe off the moisture from the interior of the smoker. Do not wipe the interior of the cabinet back to the brand new. Because doing this will remove the smoky seasoning, which adds flavours to your future food. Use a damp rag or dustpan to clean the interior of the smoker no need to use a hard brush for cleaning the interior of the Bradley smoker.
Clean Smoke Generator
Use paint scrubber for cleaning ash marks from the smoke generator. Please do not use any abrasive scourer or brush to do this as it can damage the plates of the burner.
